Thesis Project
The final requirement of the GMC MSES program is a research based Thesis Project. Students choose an advisor from GMC Faculty, or a qualified individual from the student’s own bioregion and approved by the Program Director.
There are three main types of thesis projects available to students in the Master of Science program. Click on one of the following to see thesis proposal guidelines.
Applied Professional Project (PDF): Often relating to the work background of the student, an applied professional project can include work in research, education or policy.
Writing and Communications (PDF): A writing and communications thesis consists of in-depth research leading to a communications, advocacy or creative writing project.
Science-based Thesis Proposal (PDF): A science-based thesis involves intense research, data collection and analysis.
